Welcome to Newtown Neighbourhood Forum

The Newtown Neighbourhood Forum is a group residents from the local community who have volunteered to come together (originally with the support from the former Newtown Neighbourhood Management team) with a mutual interest in mind, that being the well-being and development of the Newtown area.

It would be fair to say that the forum does not necessarily see itself as direct representatives of the whole community, but rather as conveyors of its general aspirations and concerns. The Newtown Forum, with an elected management committee, has decided to focus its efforts on three priority areas as set out in the panels below.

Employment & Training

The Newtown Neighbourhood Forum is a group residents who have volunteered to come together with a mutual interest in mind, that being the wellbeing of the Newtown residential area.

Young People

Although the forum has a direct link to young people particularly from the Somalia community, it aims to develop its relationship with the wider cohort which makes up our community of Newtown.

The Environment

The forum held its public meeting on the Environment on Tues 19th April, the venue courtesy of St Georges The Hub. Presenting at the meeting was Phil Brook B’ham (City Council Environment Team).
